Rise Up:
Create Room

Christ has given us a vision, a compelling picture of the future, that our unique church is striving towards – to be a church bursting at the seams in all directions, UP in worship, OUT in mission, and DOWN in discipleship.

To give now toward this vision, click "Give Now via Online Giving" below. Once you've logged in, be sure to select "Rise Up Initiative" in the first drop down list of "Give to..." options.

There are three components to the Rise Up:Create Room initiative that are paramount to this church’s continued Kingdom impact:

  • 3 Services – Launch a Saturday night service in the Main Auditorium
  • 3 Spaces – Add three new mid-sized gathering spaces to our campus
  • 3 Churches – Build three new church buildings through ministry partners around the world

What It Will Cost:

3 Services

The start-up costs to launch a third main service are estimated at $200,000. Ongoing operating costs have already been built into our 2015-16 ministry year budget.

3 Churches

The costs of building three church buildings with our partners in Mexico, India and Haiti are approximately $100,000. We are able to keep these costs low, primarily covering materials, by utilizing volunteer construction teams from both Cherry Hills and the churches with whom we partner.

3 Spaces

The plans for adding three mid-sized gathering spaces to our campus have been developed by a team of Cherry Hills staff, with the support of a Building Advisory Committee made up of church members with expertise in specific areas of the project. This team has worked diligently to develop plans that maximize use of space while controlling cost. They have put together a phased approach to construction that dreams big and allows flexibility to adjust our building scope with God’s provision through the campaign giving.

At the onset of this campaign, the fundraising goal for the base construction cost of this project was $3.7 million. To date, we already have over $1.5 million in commitments towards that goal. Should God provide surplus, we will be able to maximize some outdoor utilization of space on and around the new facility.

Other Gifts

Appreciated Stock or Securities Making a gift from appreciated stock or mutual funds creates a win-win situation for both you and the church. You'll receive a charitable income tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock or mutual fund. Long-term appreciated assets have a fair market value greater than their cost, since they were generally purchased more than 12 months earlier. If you are making a gift of stock or securities, please let us know so that we can verify the transfer and properly record your donation.

Current Gifts of Assets
In general people have about 9% of their money in accessible cash flow and 91% invested in property or assets. When it comes to charitable giving, most people draw from the 9%—but there are also strategic opportunities to give from the 91% in order to create benefit for your family and for ministries you support.

If you are considering a larger special gift, you may wish to explore the opportunity for a lasting memorial that bears the name of your loved one.
